My Funny Valentine

Jocelyn poses with the now empty heart shaped box. She loves her red dress and so do we.

Paper Wrestling

Why do we buy toys for our children? They just pull them off the shelf and leave them for parents to clean up. Besides, they have a lot more fun with everyday things around the house. Case in point: the contents of the trash bin.

Lillian had gone through the coupon inserts from her three Sunday papers and left the stuff she didn't want and the expired coupons from her box in the trash can. Jocelyn retrieved these "toys" from certain doom and proceeded to make confetti. Elena joined in and was soon making it a paper wrestling match (instead of mud wrestling). Jeremy came over and started to bury his sisters in the litter, as if it were a trip to the sand dunes. Pretty soon, it was back to throwing confetti.

Surprisingly, they helped clean up. Now, if only they would clean up their toys...

My Future is So Bright...

This photograph captures a rare moment, when sunglasses aren't broken. Elena is stylin' as she opens one of her birthday presents. She wanted a princess birthday, so we decked her out with costume jewelry. This year, Elena opened presents in front of our new webcam (thanks, Roger) so that Mima and Papa could watch.

Underpants!

Wow! Check out these awesome Ironman underpants!
As a child, I probably promised myself never to give underpants as a gift, but here I am propagating the error of my parents' ways.
Jeremy was kind enough to smile, after my "subtle" prompting. But really, he loved them, so we'll milk this for as long as we can.

Misunderstood Christmas Presents

video
You'll probably need to watch this video three times. Watch Elena the first time. Don't forget to check out Jocelyn and Jeremy in their supporting roles...you won't regret it! By the way, these are sleeping pads for camping, not exercise mats.
